Choose your favorites: pearls and gemstones; faceted, carved and smooth; shapes and sizes
Using a stickpin as an attachment mechanism enables my sculptural woven gold and platinum forms to be worn as brooches. Wire-embellished or topped with a gemstone, each different stickpin creates a unique look: change colors, change cutting styles, change shapes and sizes. Wear a stickpin by itself. Build a wardrobe of stickpins to complement your clothing. Incorporate your gems, customize the stickpins, expand the wearability and versatility of your brooch. Express your style.

The concept of using a stickpin as the attachment mechanism for my brooches is based on the Celtic annular (ring) and penannular brooches of the early Middle Ages (8th – 13th century) in which a pin slipped through fabric that was pulled up into the center of the brooch.
